The Hornet Football Club relies on the support of parents, families, and community members to help run events, support our players, and strengthen the Saline football program.

We cannot rely on just a few volunteers. It takes the entire community working together to make everything happen throughout the season.

There are many ways to get involved, and every role makes an impact.

Volunteer Committees

Each committee has a chairperson and a team of volunteers. You can join the area that best fits your interests and availability.

Volunteer With the Hornet Football Club

Sponsorship Committee

This committee helps build relationships with local businesses that support the program.

Responsibilities include:

  • Soliciting and selling sponsorships

  • Coordinating sponsor banners

  • Writing sponsor game day announcements

  • Working with game day sponsors

  • Organizing sponsor thank-you photos and notes at the end of the season

Bowling Fundraiser Committee

This committee organizes one of the biggest fundraising events of the year.

Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating with Station 300

  • Managing the silent auction

  • Uploading items to SchoolAuction.net

  • Promoting and marketing the event

  • Organizing event volunteers

Preseason Pep Rally Committee

This committee helps kick off the football season with a community celebration.

Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating with Community Education and Junior Tackle

  • Communicating with middle school football teams

  • Coordinating players, band, cheer, and dance teams

  • Organizing food, concessions, and food trucks

  • Managing volunteers

Special Events Committee

This team coordinates several important events during the season.

Responsibilities include:

  • GVSU camp coordination with coaches

  • Bonfire night planning and support

  • Freshman, JV, and Varsity banquets

  • Special program events throughout the year

Team Meals Committee

This committee helps organize meals and snacks for players throughout the season.

Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating restaurant donations with the sponsorship team

  • Organizing varsity pregame meals

  • Managing volunteers for setup and cleanup

  • Coordinating Freshman and JV snacks

  • Organizing post-game pizza for away games

  • Working with middle school team leads for long travel games

Game Day Operations Committee

This team helps ensure smooth game day operations.

Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating volunteers for game day activities

  • Managing the pregame helmet tradition

  • Setting up and taking down senior banners

  • Editing and printing game day rosters

  • Coordinating concession volunteers for JV and Freshman games
